Hunt groups or follow me routing is an intelligent call management system which allows several individuals to be contacted through one number. This is particularly beneficial for staff members who work shift patterns or are away from the office sporadically.

Hunt groups or follow me routing is a system by which several lines can ring simultaneously until a call is answered. Phone lines can ring in a designated order of individuals, groups or several numbers in use by one person i.e. landline and mobile.

Hunt groups can hold up to 40 different numbers, all accessible from a single number. These numbers can then be divided into groups, for example hunt group 1 may only be available in the morning; this means that if a call is made in the afternoon the system will automatically divert the call to hunt groups 2 and 3 for example. Calls can be directed in a linear or circular fashion, as well as randomly as lines become available.

High volume traffic can be handled efficiently by sharing the inbound calls with several staff members.
