Research In Motion, BlackBerry’s parent company had a bad week last week.

Fax to email means fax machines are obsolete
History is littered with examples of gadgets that worked brilliantly but ultimately lost the battle for survival as newer, better technology came along and superseded it. Minidisks disappeared into oblivion due to MP3s, video lost out to DVD and dial-up modems drowned in the tidal wave of broadband routers.
