Since the launch of Dreams & Wishes in 2011, 08Direct has a proud history of supporting the charity. Thanks to our Chief Executive Mahmood Mazhar, we have been able to provide both financial and strategic support.

Based in South Wales, Dreams & Wishes operates across England and Wales to provide help and support to seriously ill children and their families. 08Direct has been there throughout, and the charity has now grown to an extent that it enjoys support from famous faces including Joe Calzaghe, William Mosely and Martin Roberts. They have also partnered up with football clubs including Cardiff City, Swansea City and Manchester United.

As part of their great work, this week the Dreams & Wishes team have been visiting children’s hospitals in the run up to Christmas. They were joined by the Welsh Guards, as well as Father Christmas and his team of helpers!

The guys have been hard at work and have stopped off at The Royal Gwent Hospital and St Joesphs Hospital in Newport, and dropped into Velindre Cancer Centre and The University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

They took with them presents, Christmas gifts and and also took time to honour the hard work and dedication of all the medical staff.

Sian Kosinki, co-founder of Dreams & Wishes sent us a special message: “It’s thanks to Mr Mazhar and the whole 08Direct team that Dreams & Wishes have been able to enjoy such rapid growth. Seeing the smiles on childrens faces makes all the hard work worth while.”

Over the past 12 months 08Direct has supported Dreams & Wishes through providing them will full use of our telephony systems, event sponsorship and fundraising through our Halloween Party and our MD and Cheif Engineer taking part in a charity bike ride.
